He had perhaps further to fall than many Orees and he took the last fall himself, taking his life rather than face the fury of Operation Ore. Any feeling human being would have found the aggressive nature of Operation Ore unbearable. The operational tactics were designed to destroy the accused, in this case, like so many others, those tactics were successful. On behalf of all researchers, we take this opportunity to apologise to him and those he left behind. He was the victim of some of the most savage and depraved behaviour modern Britain has ever seen on such a scale.
